Hi-Drive at EUCAD 2025: Demonstrating Progress in CCAM

Hi-Drive participated in the 5th European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving (EUCAD 2025), held from 13 to 15 May at the JRC in Ispra, Italy. Organised by the European Commission with the CCAM Partnership and FAME, the event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and researchers to advance connected and automated mobility in Europe.

The project was featured through two on-site demonstrations:

–  A static showcase with Stellantis CRF presented recent progress in object detection for automated driving, using a Maserati test vehicle.

–  A dynamic demonstration with fka focused on urban driving scenarios, including transitions between autonomous and tele-assisted modes.

Hi-Drive also contributed to the EU project booth with a curated video display from the projects Roadshows #1 to #5:

In addition to the exhibition activities, Hi-Drive experts took part in two thematic sessions addressing remote operations and the societal impact of CCAM. Project coordinator Aria Etemad (Volkswagen AG) moderated the high-level panel “From Hype to Reality: Large-Scale Demonstration in Automated Mobility.”

Hi-Drive’s presence at EUCAD 2025 highlighted its commitment to large-scale testing and the future deployment of safe and inclusive automated driving technologies, with a focus on defragmenting and extending the Operational Design Domain (ODD)
