Hi-Drive participated in the third Interactive Symposium on Research & Innovation for Connected and Automated Driving in Europe (EUCAD Symposium 2024), held on 18-19 April 2024, in conjunction with the TRA Conference in Dublin.
Complementing the Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) sub-theme of TRA 2024, the symposium delved deeper into key topics and challenges for CCAM Research & Innovation and testing, both in Europe and beyond. The event targeted public and private stakeholders in road transport. Attendees exchanged views on immediate next steps and future actions required for connected and automated mobility, while also learning more about European Research & Innovation activities on CCAM.
The program included a noteworthy session titled “Modernizing the European Road Network in fostering CCAM, seamless connectivity, and green energy for sustainable transportation solutions across Europe.” This session explored the transformative potential of modernizing the European road network to enhance CCAM, connectivity, and green energy for sustainable transport. It featured interactive discussions and Q&A sessions, with insights aimed at building a more efficient, connected, and modern road transport system in Europe. The panel discussion included perspectives from key stakeholders, such as Aria Etemad, Hi-Drive Project Coordinator from Volkswagen Group Innovation.
