The Hi-Drive User Training Programme has successfully started in Spain, with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) training sessions organized by RACC. Held on 5-6 October 2024 at the RACC Advanced Driving Centre in Montmeló, the sessions aimed to teach participants how to safely operate SAE Level 1 and 2 systems.
Developed by FIA Region I in collaboration with 11 Mobility Clubs, vehicle manufacturers (OEMs), and research partners, the programme followed a structured preparation process:
Over two days, 25 participants attended four training sessions and shared feedback on their experiences with ADAS features. This feedback will be compared with results from similar training sessions conducted by other mobility clubs in the Hi-Drive project.
The User Training Programme is part of the FIA Region I & Hi-Drive User Education Campaign, running until October 2024.
The campaign focuses on improving awareness and understanding of automated driving technologies, covering 14 ADAS functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, and Blind Spot Monitoring, with an emphasis on their role in enhancing road safety and efficiency.
